A public accounting firm focused on tax and audit for mid-sized businesses, governmental agencies and non-profit organizations, is seeking a Senior Audit Associate or an Audit Manager, to perform/manage audits, prepare financial reports and have continuous interaction with multiple clients. The ideal candidate has audit experience from a mid-sized public accounting firm.
 Job Type and Schedule
- Job Location: Santa Maria, CA
 - In person/In office position, not remote
 - Balanced hours
 - Overtime pay if you work over 40 hours!
 
Compensation & Benefits
- $85-150k+ salary based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs and reviews audits for non-profits, businesses and other entities
 - Prepares financial statements and reports
 - Provides guidance and advice to clients
 - Meets with clients in-person and via phone or video
 - Depending on experience level, works as part of a team or leads a team of junior audit professionals
 
Qualifications
- Public accounting experience in audit
 - Governmental agency experience, & non-profit experience is ideal but not required
 - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business is preferred
 - CPA ideal but not required for senior role, but is required for the manager role
 - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
 - Ability to engage with clients and internal teams
 - Skilled in Microsoft Excel
